Good Morning America — “Hollywood Movies Sparked ‘Intelligence Race’”
Good Morning America covers the historical use of spy gadgets in film and international affairs. It also features modern spy gadgets sold at internationalspyshop.com, including pen video cameras, voice scramblers and diversion safes.
That is the shop’s 2022 wording. The live ABC page (Behrendt / Dahle / Ferran, posted 8 January 2009, dateline 21 June 2006) is a CIA-museum story. It names Peter Earnest and Robert Wallace. It does not name this shop. The shop’s 2019 child page added a sentence ABC does not carry: “All were from the International Spy Shop.”

History Channel Tactical & Practical — “Spy Gear”
Tactical & Practical profiles the various uses of spy gadgets. An International Spy Shop Surveillance Expert provides information and demonstrations of a variety of hidden cameras.
Series ran about 2003–2005, host Hunter Ellis. Also titled Tactical to Practical. No episode URL, air date, or clip was found on History.com. Master not posted. The shop child is 404.

The Los Angeles Times profiles Taser International, the nation’s leading supplier of stun guns. Several models of these guns are sold by the International Spy Shop.

USA Today explores the everyday household use of spy gadgets. Users tracking cheating spouses and monitoring children’s computer use are featured.

NBC 11 News highlights International Spy Shop featured products, ranging from video surveillance gadgets, stun guns and white noise machines, to spy guides and covert intelligence books.

CBS 5 Eyewitness News — tasers, hazmat suits, covert cameras
CBS 5 Eyewitness News profiles the International Spy Shop, focusing on personal security products like tasers, hazmat suits and covert cameras.
The surviving shop recut of that Folsom-era package is the Bill Schechner piece. He is on Folsom Street. A private investigator buys a briefcase camera. Jason demonstrates a VCR nanny cam, a wearable bug detector, and a hazmat suit.

ABC 7 News features a Surveillance Expert from the International Spy Shop highlighting a range of covert surveillance products, including hidden cameras.
This blurb appeared twice on the 2022 page. The KGO floor packages themselves are not on abc7news.com. A later ABC7 piece that does survive is Finney’s Finds, 28 December 2012 — that was not on the old media page and is filed under Later recoveries below.
NBC 11 News — covert voyeurism
An International Spy Shop Security Specialist provides expert input on how to avoid becoming victimized by covert voyeurism.

The San Francisco Chronicle features an International Spy Shop Security Specialist offering his expert opinion on the use of hidden transmitters. A variety of high-tech, covert gadgets sold by the International Spy Shop are described.

Evening Magazine features a complete profile of the International Spy Shop, exploring various covert surveillance and personal protection products, as well as advice from an International Spy Shop Surveillance Expert on personal safety and protection.

The old page titled this NBC 11 and then credited Inland News in the body. No NBC or Inland News URL naming the shop was found.
ABC 7 News — hidden cameras (second listing)
ABC 7 News features a Surveillance Expert from the International Spy Shop highlighting a range of covert surveillance products, including hidden cameras.
Same wording as the earlier ABC 7 listing. The 2022 page ran it twice. Treated as a second floor visit until a tape proves otherwise.
Tech TV Call for Help
An International Spy Shop Surveillance Expert demonstrates the use of a range of products, including hidden cameras, stun guns, bug detectors and home video surveillance systems.
TechTV ended in 2004. No public player remains.
KRON 4 News — cell phone jammers, Sam Brown
KRON 4 News profiles the use of cell phone jammers. At the International Spy Shop Senior Licensed Investigator Sam Brown provides information on how cell phone jammers work.

San Francisco Chronicle — “Spy Store a Boon for Paranoid Public Spying Eyes.”
The San Francisco Chronicle profiles one of the early locations of the International Spy Shop. It describes survival gear products sold by the shop, and their use in emergency or disaster situations.
Photo 1 — “Jason Woodside, a part owner in the Spy Shop on Folsum, holds components to a pin hole camera.”
Photo 2 — “A happy family strolls down Folsum Street in front of the Spy Shop where a mannequin dressed in a Hazmat suit with gas mask stands in the window.”
Partner named in the piece: Ron Rosales, 32. Shop opened November 2001. Prices then: NBC suit $299; Italian mask $499; Mark II $399; Russian full-head $229; invisible-ink pen $11.99.
